That is ridiculous for just a drain line for a kitchen sink. It’s actually believable because plumbers charge a lot of money for simple jobs a simpleton can accomplish with very little effort if he has common handyman skills and how-to. For example, a plumber came to my friends office to install a new flush valve in his leaky toilet and charged him 180USD for the service. Isn’t that silly? It’s a good price for someone that doesn’t know how to do it themselves=) For something that costs you a little under 20USD from HD; 180USD service charge is quite pricey.

Had the house built a few years back and the contractor was nice enough to put a drain in the back porch for me free of charge. We didn’t use it until now. Until now, I thought it would work once hooked up but apparently not! They never hooked it up to the main sewer line. Just had the fixtures installed on the wall. A photo will describe this!

You see how they hooked it up? The only logical explanation I can come up with is that if they had it hooked up, they would not be able to pass code. I could tell because it looked like they had it hooked up but had to remove it and the broken end was the result of it.

I fixed it by digging a small shallow trench and adding the proper fixtures and elbows. I didn’t care about the pitch nor did I care about the code. I, however, did put the proper p-trap in which wasn’t required but just for a safety measure. The sink is draining. Everything else is just gravy baby!

Note to self: sewer from house comes out as 3″ thin-walled pipe. HD does not sell thin-walled elbows and or fixtures- just the pipes. In order to mate regular thick-walled sch 40 3″ pipe to thin-walled piping, you must use reducers to go from thick to thin! Another note worthy of mentioning is that the reason why sewer rats and roaches are able to climb from pipe to toilet/sink/showere is because the 3″ sewer lines do not have any water in them if you do not flush or use the water. So it’s dry and thus allows those pesky critters to enter our homes. I saw it once. I roach emerged from my tub before.

I hate Verizon. Getting a hold of them is like trying to enter Fort Nox. I recently had FIOS internet and had canceled it because it was conflicting with Bright House Network’s services. I’m not being charged with the FIOS internet services but rather, for the damn FIOS cable.

I call Verizon and they said I’m being charged for the used portion of the cable. Ain’t that good shit? I told the fucker I didn’t need cable but he said “We’ll install it and you can try it out for a whole month for free. If you don’t like it, you won’t be charged”. I don’t even want to deal with it I’ll just pay for it. I’d rather pay for it than to go through Fort Nox. I hate you, Verizon. You fucking SUCK. Bright House Networks all the way baby! Better service… uh hmmm… quicker service!

Okay, I’m having a bad day.

I’ve been annoyed lately of TigerDirect’s way of emailing subscribers to let them in the loop of all the “specials” they are running. That’s fine with me but once a week or twice a month is cool but not everyday; they email me 3 times a day at least- on the same garbage! Now tell me if that isn’t annoying? I’m a subscriber but I don’t want to be spammed. It’s like they force the adds in your face.

I got to the point that I don’t even open it. Into the trash it goes but man, deleting three times a day gets to your nerves! They even sent me a questionnaire on why I’m canceling their email subscription. Man! I sure told them! Out of sight out of mind!

I should try to be emotional; rather sad if I may that my nephew is ready to move away. It’s a sad parting I’d say but I guess you can’t save the world if powers were ‘vested in you. I would imagine it would change a lot of things for my nephews when I’m not around. It will be their undoing to be frank.

I only hope they are keen and will look out for each other and not forget the things I’ve instilled within them. I see them to be very bright. Without my persistent urging, I don’t think my nephew, the eldest of three, would be so bright. Now that they are moving away, I feel hopeless and not in control of things. Sometimes I would rather say I would be a great teacher. I’m a teacher to a lot of friends, a counsel to many of whom are without light, and a friend to all.

Life; you move on. Life changes and priorities are constantly shifting. It’s a battle up hill when change are a comin’ but you can’t do much but transcend and manipulate your environment to be more fitting for changes in the season(s). I think I’ll try to be sad with the parting. I can’t seem to be. It’s another day for me but without good company. A full house now shall be hollow. Without the laughs and cries nor the constant etchings on the walls with crayons and neither the broken furniture fixtures and etc.

I guess I can start fixing up the house since the little ones will be moving out. I have a lot of stains, crayon markings, and holes in the wall that need mending. I could fill up those stale (about to be) rooms with stuff. No, I’ll make one into my studio! I can start painting canvas again! Yippie! Maybe have a dance room on one side and a studio on the other. My, this is starting to be a fun and gracious parting…! Boy, I can’t wait if they move out! Now I’m happy!

I got one. Not for me but for my sister. She dropped her Katana in the pooper. I cringe at buying my used phone for 100USD yet I don’t when I buy this 240USD phone. I sniped it via ebay within the very last seconds of bid’s end- yeah I snipe, what? This phone is so awesome!!! The person who shipped it was even more uber awesome! I have never received a package in expensive trash bags before. They are the trash bags that has the pull string on the top outer lip of the bads that allows easy garbage disposal. It was wrapped in layers of it!

I’m tired of these bug and tar stains in front of my bumper. They are so hard to get off and I can’t seem to shake it with any of the products I’ve tried. We had a detailer come to detail two of our cars and I asked him what kind of product does he use to remove the bugs and tar grime off the bumpers. He gave me 12oz of this brown liquid and said it would work miracles. Indeed, it did. I saw it with my own eyes.

So I tried it myself but with a twist; I used WD-40 on one side and the brown stuff on the other half. Both products worked but with WD-40, you needed more elbow-grease. I didn’t like that idea and or the extra work. I’m not cut out for extra work when not necessary. The brown stuff works great! Took it off without a lot of work.

Here is a shot when it was all done and said:

Since I don’t know where to get this [brown stuff], I will be using a new product: Spray n Wash clothes detergent. I read it somewhere and I’ll give it a run. Nice and cheap and can be had at any Walmart. I did do a search for the brown stuff when he told me what it was called but didn’t find anything. Now I forgot the name but who cares, I’ve got Spray n Wash round’ the corner. O yeah, here are the search results.

From Your Laundry Room

I use Spray n Wash or any other laundry stain remover to get tar and bugs off my car. After applying, let it sit for a minute to loosen the tar then wash. I’ve been using it for 15 years and haven’t had any problems. It also works great on whitewalls.

I was driving down to the south side and I saw an old dude peeing on a fence [I assume] he frequents a lot because he had no care in the world taking care of business whilst everyone passing by in their cars can see full view of his audacious yet uncouth behavior=) I for one, had ready my camera because I’m starting to get into photo blogging, took a snap shot of him and the two people confronting him about his dog’ish behavior. Little did I know, when this lady and man turned around, I saw them carrying guns so they weren’t ordinary citizens. Also I saw a police vehicle driving to that area as I made a left and on to my way for a scheduled hair trim.

My friend hired someone to work for them and as I was at their office listening into the conversation/interview they were having, I knew what kind of worker he was. First I looked at his face, then I listen to he had to say to confirm what demeanor had he originally tired to convey or lack of…

Soon as he left, I told my friend not to hire him. I said to my friend: “He is arrogant and will not take orders from you! Hire someone else”. Two weeks later, he was gone. I asked my friend why he wasn’t working there anymore and they said: “I asked him to do some filing for me and he said: ‘I’m here to work, not to be your file assistant'”. See how I was right? Jackass had too much pride and was too pompous in his ways. Plus, he was given a week to learn the curves of the computer system my friend was currently utilizing… He failed miserably…

My view is why in the hell would you work for someone and say that you are here to do one specific job and not another. Jackass. I heard that and was outraged. If I was there, I would have teared him a new ass and sent him home. Think of CVS, WalGreens, Walmart, Win Dixie etc…, they all have workers whom multi-task. If the registers aren’t busy, they would have to do inventory, clean, package etc… You can’t have a work idle. Plus those people who work at those places as stated above are hard working people too! I respect hard workers.

I’m so clumsy I tend to lose everything! I was talking to a girlfriend today and she’s a cluts like me too. We have a lot of things in common if we actually sat down and compared and contrasted. Anywho, to this day, I have lost 3 very expensive mechanical pencils. I don’t know what I did with them. Let alone I don’t pay attention to where I set it down last to elevate the aggravation.

Don’t you just hate losing things without a reason? It gets repetitive and very costly down the line. What I need to do is strap a fishing line to everything that I own. So when I left something behind, It will drag behind me. And if it’s too heavy, I’ll get a nice reminder “tug” as I walts off. Or maybe a gps stuck to every darn thing I own- that ought to do it!

Better yet, a “helper” to follow you and pick up the slack. Yesh! That would work out nicely! I wonder how expensive that will be? Probably more than the crap i’ll be losing (lol). I think I just need to be a little more attentive to what I’m doing and where I’m at. I need to rectify my mind to start and remember conversations I had the past day or hour. I usually am very bad at that. This should be something I’ll work on… Inch by Inch, Life Is A Cinch.

So I’m going to make the website myself! He keeps on changing templates. How unoriginal. I’m SOOO busy right now I’m running around like a crazy man!
