Frivolous At Heart

This kicks ass! Another added to my arsenal of geeky collection. Now I can remove Laptop harddrives and edit the partitions, transfer larger chunks of data, setup harddrives without having to remove my computer case etc. I’m loving it. Now working on laptops, desktops and external ide or sata harddrives is a piece of cake!

Ever needed to find out exactly what size a drill bit you are in need of or find the size of the bit you are using because you can’t read the etched markings on the bit shank because you’ve botched it up with the chuck of your drill? I have! Now I have one so I’ll always be in the [know]. This totally rocks!

Yeah, I got one! It was 5USD and fits everything I need to build and dismantle any computer with haste. I’ve probably built more than 50+ computers and during which, I have accumulated not only much knowledge but more hardware than I can store! So I cleaned up and organized a little today. Figured I needed a little tool box dedicated to my craft. And so off to Lowes I went! It took me a good 15mins to choose one. I found one just perfect! Cute little thing! Has just enough compartments for me to store all my stuff which really only includes a screw driver, zip ties, misc IDE cables, USB cables, and etc hardware. Task Force power!

Figured I’m always trying to find a screw to fit a CD-ROM or mount a Harddrive. This came together quite nicely. Not to mention how light it is. Do you see all my miscellaneous screws organized all neat and uber cool? It looks and feels and makes me work more [efficiently]. That’s KEY when you want to do a good job with minimal work.

This is ridiculous because I had to purchase (10 of them) my own IDE cables. I’m building three systems to order and the motherboards came with one IDE cable and a lot more SATA cables than needed! Why didn’t they include a second IDE cable for the CD-ROM? Why??! I think times has changed and everything is converting over to SATA hardware: real fast and easy installation. I’d admit, there are a lot more IDE hardware out there then SATA. It’s going to take another 5yrs+ before they rid of IDE cables all together I’d suspect. Anywho, I’m building an AMD Athlon X2 system (single-core). Dual-core isn’t called for in this application and for what it’s running, it’s way beyond need of dual-core technology. I’m still using single-core. Albeit, sometimes I needed the exta “umh” but 95% of the time, I don’t. So not worth investing in!

Besides the build, Intel is tearing AMD to shreds with their introduction of the Core 2 Duo processor with the addition of large L2 cache in the summer of 2006. Intel’s chip is running at 65 W but without the integrated DDR2 memory control which is an integral part of every AMD Athlon’s processors ability to crunch data. Running at 85 W, the AMD chip runs hotter than Intel’s Core 2 Duo. Even with the AMD 3.0GHz Athlon 64 X2, still can’t beat the Intel’s chip on benchmarks. Both companies are lowering their processor prices to LOW LOW prices to compete with each other though but I’m still stuck on AMD because of it’s unrivaled reliability.

I’m so exhausted. I have two sisters who are done with their Doctorates in Pharmacy- finally! Lets go out there and make lots of money for the first 3yrs and pay back student loans- yippie! Lord it was exhausting. Two days of graduation ceremonies. The Doctorate title entitles them to their own special ceremony which was placed on a Friday, then the next day everyone graduates as one uber large group!

It was fun! I had a lot of foods and drinks to keep me awake plus not to mention the Hilton with the snooty pool and bus fair lalala! The Hilton we stayed at wasn’t that nice or maybe the suite we were in was crappy? Who knows? All I know is if you tried kicking the door down in them rooms- you would probably brake a leg or three! Solid oak or maybe metal!!! I had a hard time closing the darn door let alone try to open it with the finicky key cards.

I swear down in PBA, there were so many coconuts that I wanted to pick them to take them home. I bet the city has their minions once a year around this time to come and cut them off and throw them away! What a waste! I wanted a few coconuts. Is that too much to ask for? Hell, I’ll even climb up the tree myself to get to them! All the coconut trees were of course, near the beach (Atlantic side) and the water was beautiful! Blues, greens, and sapphires!!! Can’t afford those homes down there! You’d have to be billionaires to afford the living those fortunates are able to attain! Coodoes to them!

I had Verizon come install their fiber optic internet connection. It’s blazing fast! With roadrunner, I was able to download a 1.23GIG file within 45mins but with fiber, it cut the download speed down to only 35mins. Not bad! The upload speed is 130kb+ (rr is only 45maxed). That is extremely fast considering how cheap the service is. 40USD per month but they have a special for 30USD per month for six months! I’m loving the speed! Everything loads up faster and it’s making the internet experience a lot more pleasant and bearable.

This is kind of funny but whats up with wheel studs just breaking on ya? My buddy had a flat tire so I stopped on by and checked it out. Little did I know, he had broken all three studs trying to take them out to change the flat that he had. I was in for some fun!!! I think the reason why it broke was because it’s old and most importantly, it gets over-torqued.

So I drove him around town getting all five new studs, a portable jack, and his compressor. We needed the compressor to seat the new studs. Over-torque the hell out of it and loosen the lugs and re-torque them to spec. I did all the work of course. If I had let him do it, It would have taken the whole day. Took me a little over 30mins to do it. God this makes me want to get a small portable compressor- not just for those flat tires but for the “WTF just happened, I need a compressor” moments.

In the end, we went to Wing House and drank up! The girl that was waiting on our table was a little naughty (lol). I was getting ready to pour the beer and she was like, “hunie, let me do that for you- eer it’s what I’m good at”. Witty person that I am, I replied, “what else are you, ummm good at sugar”. She also said, “you guys are not here for the wings okay”. We joked… It was fun.. She was frank. Oh yeah, my buddy said, “I love you bro! Don’t know what wtf I would do without your help”… Hahaha I can’t say how many times I’ve heard that… All my boyfriends say that to be- I’m always there for them when shit hits the fan. Shit, my girlfriends say that too hahaha. I’m loved by many but sweetly loved by one girl lalalala. I’m Cau7 BITCH!

Got to fit in my crotch hugging pant this weekend… Dieting Dieting! I can do it I can do it!

What an amazing feat! Technology in bridge building and structural integrity of it, is freak’n awesome! Uber cool!

Sweet isn’t exactly my nature. Sweetness in subtle nature is sweetness to one’s core. So demanding. I want to make it work but it has gotten sour by the looks of it. Sometimes a [thank you] should be understood and rather not spoken. I’m not a vocal person when it comes to etiquette. The person should know well that my blessings are to to have their company- isn’t that enough? Not enough for others but enough for me. There is an odd ideology to this deep understanding but I digress and not everyone should understand.

I knew in the beginning that with our matching nature to transcend our feelings to the roots of the earth, no one shall give leeway: none shall give leeway towards each other. One misunderstanding will lead to more misjudgments and result in two egos clashing into one another with neither side complementing each other- stalemate. No compromises. I’m a hardy person- both people are hardy by nature. Each holds their own.

When theses situations arise, I walk away. She walked away first. Now I’m walking away. Do I care? Of course I did but to that point suddenly there was a dip. Now I don’t have the apathy to care no longer. I have foreseen this. Thus why I have not committed. True if you love someone, you will change gradually for the better of both parties- it’s natural but time waits for no one. I wait for no one. I rinsed my hands and dusted my feet. I am done.
