Unintentional Drifting

I haven’t done anything today and I feel lethargic: today and yesterday. I have not done any homework and I feel great! Spring break officially begun today and I’m glad for the short break. Nothing really exciting- just another day not going to school but instead, it’s going to be a week of playing hooky (not on those lazy days, they don’t count).

Today was nice! I picked up more steel tubing for my shelves I promised myself I would get done- last week! I’ll catch up this weekend though. I got 60ft of steel to make a sign to hook on the back bed of my vehicle. I can’t wait to get that done but without a working saw, it makes the process a little harder than necessary. The blade on my chop saw is very dull and a new one is coming in its place next Wednesday. I can’t wait that long! That’s very long for shipping, especially for a saw blade. I guess I’ll make due with abrasive disks this weekend. I hate using abrasive disks because they are so dirty and toss fairy dust all around my shop! Breathing that crap in is deadly… But I don’t have that problem… I cut outside where theres a little draft and I’m not in front of that draft=)

Man, I wish I had money that were dispensable: I would get a cold saw or a nice bandsaw. I think I should get a bandsaw. More versatile and less expensive than a cold saw. Cold saws are awesome. I begun to make one but realized that it was too flimsy. The cheapest one weighs around 500-700lbs and the one I made weighed 25lbs? (lol). I have a lot of projects that I work on and I love using my welder to complete these things. Well got to tinker!

I’m in need of some shelves in my garage atop my bench. My bench is littered with crap and I need the room to make it neat and more desirable to spend time out in the garage. I’ll make this out of metal. Possibly 1×1″ or 1×2″. I’m aiming towards the 1×1″ square tubing. there will be some welding and cutting… I’m free this weekend so I’ll tidy up the garage a bit.

Should have made sure that all grime and dust was wiped clean from my screen before I put it on… I guess I’ll live with it dammit. I have blotches on it because of small minute dust particles still trapped underneath! I should have been more careful =( No second tries on this one!

On the bright side, my phone is a lot more responsive so I guess that’s a trade off isn’t it? I like the rough smooth texture feeling of the surface though!

Finally purchased one… 25USD- what a great deal! I can use it to when I setup new computers, I don’t have to unplug my existing peripherals to plug into the new computer for setup. Been wanting one for a while now!

Nature of Technology: Life science, it’s fluid and will never end. We are made of molecules and thus so, are always shifting: so do our technology advances. The nature of technology in a sense is like a glass of water. Water forms to whatever inanimate object your poor it in. Looking back at history, though I don’t know the preciseness, I know that penicillin was one of our greatest advances in technology in medicine. With every good advantage, there is always a side effect. With modern medicine, people live longer than what nature intended- farther inducing our economy to use more pesticides to produce the volume of crops we need to sustain life and thus, taking up further more space than what earth can provide. Weaponry advances have also crippled our lands and put many countries at war over peanuts and religion; polluted the land with chemical waste and etc… Give and take… Pick your choice of POISON.

Nature of society and the interactions amongst them: This is a tough one: we are all so different. Some are black as night and some are white as pearls. Others are in-between and some are purple. Regardless, religion, race, backgrounds- they all separate us in class and form entities amongst crowds of vultures. We will always regard each other with respect but stand a country or continent away in mockery (which isn’t right by any means).
Dialogue:
Christian: You are muslim? Wonderful! (OMG these guys are so screwed up in the head)
Muslim: You are Christian? Wonderful!(Fools each pork? What?)
Buddhism: You are Mormon? (You know, there’s 19 levels of hell and I’m sure one of them will fit your fancy)
Morman: You are a Buddhist? (How many levels of hell do you people believe in- reincarnation? Savages)

See where I’m getting at? We as a society, separated by miles and the earths cracks we now call rivers and oceans, are plagued with senseless and ignorant history passed down from our forefathers which clouds our thoughts and blurs our perceptions of “unity”. Till this very day, we are still segregated by sex, race, religion and class and it will never end. Our interactions amongst each other, like water,is constantly changing but the history remains. Our society together with other societies, don’t see eye to eye and are always stressed in our relationship to stay out of each other’s hair. I maybe be going out on a stretch talking about society as in the “world” but society in our own country is too contained thus isn’t interesting enough for me to talk about.

I opened up a water bottle made by Nestle today to quench my thirst and I almost spilled the bottle on my shirt! You know when you open a water bottle that theres a small cap from the surface of the water to the cap? Well, I didn’t have that with this bottle of water! I wonder if it’s a fluke or it’s every bottle? I’ll see! Signing off! Class is starting!

Got a cola at one of the vending machines on campus. Cherry to be exact + large frieds at Burger King. the vending machine took 70cents from me today! Ripp off! The drink was 1.25 and machine spat out 0.05cents. Dammit! I knew that machine rips you off but I momentarily forgot at that instance in time because of my thirst for something sugary. My fault. I hate the vending machine.

I only wonder how many people do go for refunds. It’s not worth the trouble for the trek for the refund in my opinion. I’ll just [chill- what the gf would say] outside till the traffic drops off. I hate driving an hour to reach home sweet home. Rather stay here and look over notes.

USF has a lot of students attending classes during the morning and early-afternoon. I hate to admit but parking is horrendous! On my luckier days, I would find parking extremely easy- I task not everyone succeeds in and today was my unlucky day. Couldn’t find parking anywhere!!!

I was at school thirty minutes early and rode my brakes till 11:20AM. What time does class convene? 11:00AM. Isn’t that beautiful? There are many things I would love to hate and being late to anything is one of them.

USF needs to get their act together! They are in the midst of building a garage for student parking and I’m sure that will alleviate a lot of the stress that students go through to find decent parking. I’m sure it will fill up as quickly as if we didn’t have the newly rectified garage- for rather, a rectified solution. How ironic. As I see here, I think it will not fill up as quickly as I theorize because I see at least 100 cars zooming around for parking and of those 100 cars, there’s bound to be one spot for me to find parking!

My professor of ecology found out how USF mapped their parking plans… I forgot the exact specifics but it’s something that goes like this… For 1000 parking spaces, USF allows 3000 students to utilize the under-ill-equiped-non-supporting parking spaces. USF figures that at any point in time, 3000 students will not all require parking thus they use TIME to play the course of meandering through volleys of cars and the task of snaking in between them. Wonderful isn’t it?

My Zebra Danio had halflings =). I think so? I couldn’t sleep so I added water to my tank, cleaned out the filter AGAIN and saw something I didn’t see months ago… Zebra Danio babies! Not really babies anymore but they were 1.5inches long. I took them and had them in their own floating container so they could eat without fighting for their meal. I hope they live and grow!

My house was built a good five years ago and the builders were careless in placing where the AC vent. I know better now the next time I have a house built! Anywho, I had carpet upstairs and it the vent was on the floor pulling in dirt right through the darn filter! 2-3 months, it would leak from the top down to the bottom floors. O it aggravated me very much! As you can see, I don’t have carpeting anymore. I have hardwood flooring done months ago and to my amazement, now more clogging of the evaporator. Not to mention we don’t use it because it’s the winter time so that could be a factor not put into the equation. Every time it clogs up, I had to remove the metal shroud from the AC unit to clean the evaporator with a brush and a detergent to get it draining correctly!

Not anymore! I’m going to move the AC vent to prevent future clogging of the evaporator and I am also putting a pan underneath the evaporator to save my 1st floor from water damage. I took everything apart to get to the box lying underneath the evaporator:

Here is what I pictured it to be: Moved from the bottom to the top near the ceiling where it can suck in clean air.

I made the aluminum drain pan (19.25×23.75″) so just in case the evaporator decides to be naughty again. I’ve been meaning to do this for quite a while now and I have finally done this because currently, I have a lot of free time. I decided to use aluminum because it’s rust resistant. I did not want to use galvanized steel because it will rust with time and the way the pan sits, you’ll notice it would be a PITA to change out. The pan is at an angle so that way any leaks would follow the direction of gravity. I’ll need to connect this into the drain. I should finish this tomorrow. The pan was the only obstacle holding this project back.
