Hunting Related

So I was out on a hog hunt. No freak’n hogs but a crap load of bunnies. They ate all the corn from 7-2am… O man was I mad… Mad at myself for not having a 22LR or a slingshot. I took a shot with my 300WSM just for shits and uhm… Lets just say I made hamburger out of that bunny.  Each bullet cost me $3… Dang I need to start reloading!!!

So I purchased a slingshot. I will not be carrying two rifles with me- one is heavy enough. This little bad boy will be perfect for when I don’t see hogs- I’ll shoot some bunnies for dinner instead 😉

On a quick note, I did comparison on hog lights and found them to be similar. Chinese items are generally the same crap, different names on them. I deduced that much so I took a chance and came out on top. Plus I didn’t want to buy the dang light for $160

I got all my parts in today. Parts you’ll need (those links will break as time goes on so you can always search for them if the links break)

CREE 3W Green Light LED Bulb Ebay
Ultrafire C8 Q5  Amazon

I basically started off with the ultrafire C8 Q5 and took the light led module apart. It’s the same guts as regular LED lights just matched to the ultrafire C8 Q5 differently.

Now take the ebay purchased led module. Take it apart and preserve the module, wires, control board. Now install the new module, wires, control board into the Ultrafire C8 Q5

When I pried off the old module, there was glue underneath. I didn’t use any glue when i re installed it because the plastic cap kept everything in place.

http://varmintlights.com/ wanted $75 + shipping so say $85 total. I spent a total of $11 on the Ultrafire C8 Q5, $26 x 2 CREE 3W Green Light LED Bulbs. So for $24, I have one hog light.

—————————————————————————————————-

I did the same thing for the Ultrafire Wf 502b flashlight ($14) + CREE 3W Green Light LED Bulb ($13) = $27 for a second hog light. Here are both taken together. Shit is bright!!!

You can buy the mount and the finger trigger for another $20. You still save money vs buying at the mentioned website. I’m poor and I like to save money.

Are they? Or are they just re-badged and sold for more? I think that is the case here.

Here is the VRL-1 for $75

http://www.varmintlights.com for $75. Ripp off

Here is the same one from ebay for $20

Ebay item of the same thing just basically different machining but sold for a lot less. Go figure

Here are both compared

VRL-1 vs Ebay product. $75 vs $20

If that isn’t being re-badged, I don’t know what the hell is. I purchased an LED diode from http://www.varmintlights.com just to see the differences and I’m sure it’s the same thing. I think I paid $28 w/ shipping. I’ll see if I can return it. I purchased two LED diodes from ebay for $25 shipped. What a dang difference. Pays smart to shop plus pay attention to the product. I know China makes one product and it becomes 100+ other brands and still using the same thing.

My friend purchased the light kit from http://www.varmintlights.com for $150 + shipping and I told him that he’ll be sorry. I bought all the same crap from amazon for a total of $36 shipped. Two day for shipping to boot! Came with a white light led but I purchased the green led and will swap those out. I’m crossing my fangers that they are the same products (i’m sure they are based on my research and comparison of one to the other).

I also purchased two more items to attach it to my rifle. Go figure… 36 + 21 = 57 dollars vs 150+. I came out on top!

I picked this up for $60. I’m happy for the price for and oldie equipment that can be put to good use 😉 I’m going hunting this weekend so I’ll put this to good use hopefuly!!!
