Covid 19 pandemic sucks. Rice Weevils will make me want to throw the rice bag away. Searched online and found a solution but it was too tedious. You had to buy several herbs and make herbal pancakes and put them in the rice to deter weevils – not annihilate them.

I wanted to annihilate them. Thought a little about them. Threw the whole bag in the freezer. They all died. The end.

I’ve always wanted dual or quad batteries in my truck because I wanted to run an inverter for miscellaneous tools while not having power. Took a while to buy these items separately but I finally did! I installed them under the passenger side with a battery support bracket all welded up. It’s held on with two 9/16″ grade 8 bolts (i reused my spring u-bolts) bolted to the frame. It doesn’t hang that low  and probably won’t hit the ground (i’m no rock climber so I don’t have to worry too much). So far, looks good! Toyota Tundra Dual / QUAD Batteries FINALLY.

Exhaust had to be modified at the muffler shop. Turned out great! Now all I need is an inverter (expensive).

I have a hydraulic dump trailer and it’s a single acting hydraulic cylinder (Hydraulic up and gravity down) – 3 wire hydraulic pump control. I was at the city dump and was dumping wood that can be burned. They sent me into a building where I can dump my trash to be burned. Inside is dark and the floors are extremely dirty – slushy filth rather. If I didn’t have floor mats – my truck would still smell like the dump. I figured next time when I come to dump, I would have a wireless remote so I could dump while in the cab.

I ordered Tuff Stuff Wireless Winch Remote Control Kit from amazon. I also ordered another relay to power the pump. Relay is to the right. I need to mount the box outside so I can get better reception. Works good so far!

Here is the setup:
-Red is power
-Blk ground
-Yellow down to solenoid
-White up – connected to the top of new relay to turn on the motor.

I bought the crane 7 months ago and reason wanting one is that sometimes I don’t have help to lift heavy equipment on my truck or when I’m buying something online and it’s HEAVY. I just now installed it.

In order to do so, I had to get custom brackets cut out of 1/2 steel. Welded them on. This was my first attempt – so I made them a little long. This cost 70$ shipped. I know the exact size and location to weld if I needed to do another (which I wont – PITA factor lol).

Now I weld on 2×2 3/16″ (7gauge) tube to make the platform.

There goes the base sitting atop the platform.

I chose to weld on the platform instead of bolting it onto the platform – it was a lot faster than drilling individual holes. It’s on there SOLID now.

Lifted a Generac 17,500watt 500lb generator onto my truck just to test it out. Worked wonders with a jib crane – all by myself that is! Love this thing!

I don’t always have a match or a lighter with me to light the propane cooker. So I installed an igniter. The 10″ burner has a very wide surface so propane has to travel throughout the orifices to get lit and thus a little tricky to light but it will light it no problem. Best 20$ upgrade!

I have the larger soda cups from 7-11 and Wawa. Guess what? They are exactly the same cups with different decals only! I couldn’t find a cup holder for it online so I made one! I went to walmart and found a plant container similar in size and went to down!

You can’t say it’s not a good idea when refills are only !1.08!

So I needed (wanted) a dash cam but some of the nicer ones were $150-200 and I wasn’t going to have none of that. Besides, they don’t exactly work as you plan. I found that these cams had slow transfer and would freeze up periodically.

I went with the Galaxy S4 because it’s a proven platform – it’s a phone and I had it sitting collecting dust! Has all the apps you would need and wifi connectivity/transfer is automatic if you have dropbox . I personally don’t like android products and I also don’t use it either. iphones are nice but they don’t allow the automation of recording/on-off.

I’m extremely happy with this setup. Clean and simple. Videos are high quality and are in 1hr clips – mp4 format – 2gig 15 min clip. The app is AutoGuard. I think I paid $3 for the app. Made a paperweight into a dash camera that I know will always work, the quality will always be good, and the automation is touchless – out of sight and out of mind!

Something to think about… If it ever breaks, you can always get a high quality android phone used on the internet for $50-75! That charging cable I have sitting on top of the liner will stay there for a good long while – I won’t be using androids new phones – new charging port anytime soon!

Items
1.Car Mount, iOttie Easy View Universal Car Mount Holder
2.Anker Micro Usb To Usb Cable (10Ft / 3M) (I couldn’t find my 90 degree cord to use so I used the straight cord instead)
3.SanDisk Ultra 32GB microSDHC
4.Google app AutoGuard

Bought this nice 14 ft canoe off of Boyd – nice fella! This boat is 42″ wide and extremely stable for its length. I’m going to turn this into a fishing boat for myself and anyone else wanting to come along. I didn’t want to get any longer of a canoe b/c I would have a hard time transporting it on my truck. A 16′ would have been nice but i’m extremely happy with this purchase. American Eagle canoes are one of the nicest canoes I’ve seen yet. Others just don’t compare when it comes to stability – 42″ wide!
